Screen cuts off (Resolution Issue)

Hi

I am playing sims Medieval. the Screen is too wide and cuts off on the left hand side so i cant get into Options or check my quest status etc. I have tried the Screen Resolution changes with no luck. I followd the advice re Java direct Connection and also Internet Explorer allowing script initiated Windows without size or Portrait constraints and also without any luck. where do i go from here?
