Mac users can get Sims 2 Super Collection on the App store and it’s updated to play well on current Mac models (at least it does on mine). It’s not the complete collection because not everything was released for Mac, but it does have all the packs that were made for Mac. I love going back to it from time to time — it’s still so good. But it’s owned by Aspyr and not EA.
Also, I just remembered that Sims 3 was updated for Mac users about 2020 so that it can still run on newer machines — although I wouldn’t say that Sims 3 plays well. I play it a lot still, but it does require a lot of careful handling, some essential mods, and a load of patience.
