Should previous Sims 1, 2 and 3 be updated to play easily?

I'd love to see the previous versions of the sims updated. Doubt that it will happen though as it would require a lot of time to keep them up to date each time new technology comes out.

I really loved the cd's as well. So much faster for me to install a game. In my case, I have satellite internet. My house is deemed unserviceable for cable. So when I have to download a game off the internet it literally takes hours. These days, I just start the download before I go to bed and it's ready for me the next morning.
