Sims 1 Legacy Collection - STILL CRASHING AFTER 06/02 UPDATE

Note: I am using the STEAM version of the game.

Managed to get in 3 hours of my game on  Monday 03/02 before the game crashing what is literally less than 2 minutes after loading back into the lot. 

I cannot do anything before the game just gives up and dies again and again.

I really, really, REALLY want to play this as 1 and 2 are my favourites... I'm reaching to a point where I'm just going to refund and wait till its completely fixed and patched. The fact that this released in such a state is beyond me. I understand the game is old and has spaghetti-style coding but holy-cowplant its shocking.
