Sims 2 App crashing

I usse origin the ultimate collection but it crashes all the time. I have changed the compatibiity setting for EP9 and still no change. I use CC however I always use clean installer and trial running the program after each install. The music appears to glitch and then the app crashes, mostly when swapping between house and people modes but also just whenever. Does anyone know what to do?
