Sims 2 crashing when loading neighborhood

I know The Sims 2 worked a year ago, but now it keeps crashing. First it was crashing on startup, but a 4gb patcher fixed that. Now it crashes when loading neighborhoods. I've tried all kinds of fixe...

    I found the fix! (For any future readers)

    The problem was that I had installed Sims 2 on a drive other than my C drive, and for some reason, it didn't like that.

    I reinstalled everything (including the 4GB patch and DXVK fixes) on the C drive, and I no longer get the crash when loading a neighborhood.

    I'm running Windows 10 right now, and have the Sims 2 Complete Collection from Origin.
