Sims 2 legacy unplayable after 2/6 patch.

My game was working perfectly fine before the update and now i cant even get into a neighborhood before i get this green screen that freezes everything. I can't even cntrl alt delete out of it. 

My drivers are up to date, ive tried reinstalling.  I am playing via steam. 

Will there be another patch? I feel robbed.
