Sims 2 UC crashes on start up
The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection keeps crashing on start up. Yesterday I made it to the title screen, today I can't get past the EA logo. I'm not sure what to do.
My specs are:
- Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHz
- 32.0 GB installed RAM
- NVIDEA RTX 3070 Ti
- Windows 10
- 1920 x 1080, 60Hz (not sure if that's useful or not)
I also have all my games installed on my D drive.
Fixes I've tried include:
- Reinstalling the game
- Running the game in compatibility mode
- Repairing the game via EA app
- Turning off the in game overlay
None of these worked ☹️
EDIT :
I have since found a solution by following this YouTube video. The only thing I didn’t do was install GraphicsRuleMaker but that’s because I prefer to do this manually with guides found online 😊
