Sims 2 UC crashes on start up

Question

The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection keeps crashing on start up. Yesterday I made it to the title screen, today I can't get past the EA logo. I'm not sure what to do.

My specs are:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHz
32.0 GB installed RAM
NVIDEA RTX 3070 Ti
Windows 10
1920 x 1080, 60Hz (not sure if that's useful or not)

I also have all my games installed on my D drive.

Fixes I've tried include:

Reinstalling the game
Running the game in compatibility mode
Repairing the game via EA app
Turning off the in game overlay

None of these worked ☹️

EDIT :

I have since found a solution by following this YouTube video. The only thing I didn’t do was install GraphicsRuleMaker but that’s because I prefer to do this manually with guides found online 😊

@Ashleigh978&nbsp;, have you installed the 4GB patch and used Graphics Rule Maker to add your graphics card information to run the game? You can find the 4GB patch housed on several sims fan sites and I think Graphics Rule Maker is housed on Sims Network, but a Google search should point you in the right direction.&nbsp;
