SIMS 3 ANDROID Nexus 5 "marmalade"?

Can someone please confirm whether this "marmalade" issue is actually fixable? 

I have found NOTHING on the internet that works. I use a nexus 5 phone.

On the latest update in the google play store, it says the game is compatible with Nexus 7, Nexus 5 and Galaxy s3. 

...According to all the comments and reviews ( I guess I should have read them before buying ), it apparently does not. 

^ This has got to be some sort of scam run by EA. 

This could be due to the fact the game was last updated on 13 Jan 2014. Still, this game is under ELECTRONIC ARTS. Or is that a different company?

Is it just that EA cannot be bothered to even withdraw the compatibility statement? Or at the very least to potential buyers, notify it may not work on some devices?

Or even just update the game. Or mention SOMEWHERE on the whole "world wide web" what this issue is? 

So again, is it possible to play this game or am I just wasting my time and money? 

Whew... there's my rant. I have spent hundreds of dollars on sims games and neither origin or android works for sims 3. So obviously, I am very frustrated. 

And obviously, for that reason.. I have not bought Sims 4. I think that is at least half the reason not many people have bought it either... since they will be forced to use Origin.
