Sims 4 is a game for builders. As much as I enjoy building, once in a while I build something I want to play in. The sims are my challenge, my reason. Sims 3 had a world-builder you could download to create the actual land you put the lots in. It was a download, not part of the game itself, but people could create their own worlds for the game. Ah, that would be so much fun! And then I'd want to play in it. For a little while, before I got bored and went back to building... Perhaps the issue isn't separating the sims from the building, it's making the sims more interesting.
