Add disabilities and neurodivergent quirk system. Its really time for The Sims to finally do something for disabled community. SimGuruGrant has been researching this before he started working on Project Rene. I really believe it should be finally represented.
Strong main core for personality that has systems that are tied to each other. Without that, you are lost. It will bring complex personalities. Include traits, attraction, chemistry, memories, wishes and fears, emotions, talents, hobbies..
Focus on families. Families are part of our lives, if we like it or not. Packs like TS3 Generations, TS4 Parenthood or TS4 Growing Together should be a base game thing. Really make sure families are important and with depth.
Build the core on gender neutral system and add option for nonbinary gender.
Weather and pets in base game. If they get in base game, there will be more options for future content - for example, pets will be able to do more stuff or there'll be room for multiple seasonal activities.
Focus on diversity in CAS and BB.
And don't assume some themes aren't liked and we don't want them just because their pack reception wasn't great (My Wedding Stories, High School Years, Horse Ranch...). We like these themes and we want them, but we wanted them to be better

I see a lot of ideas and things that people want to add to Sims 5. That stuff can all be in the expansion packs: Religions, Gender Identity, etc. Just make the game simple but upgrade the IQ. We are looking to improve the entire game not just add stuff to it. If we work on the core of the intelligence of the Sims then the extra content will be a million times better. The Sims have not made a major improvement since the first Sims. Just added stuff
