Edit: Dec 20, 2023: I have finally seen the interview with WILL WRIGHT where he said the goal was to allow all the SIMTitles to share data sets so one could create CITIES then enjoy them from a STREETS, COPTER (and I'd imagine) THE SIMS perspective!
SO. The following should not be taken as UNSOLICITED since it reflects WILL WRIGHT's original intentions for ALL the SIMTitles!
Can you imagine being the person or people who defied sticking to the vision and caused MAXIS to fall, to then be acquired by EA and THEN kill off SIMCITY, Streets, Copter, Tower ... ...!?
Can you imagine being the people at Maxis/EA NOW who know what WILL WRIGHT wanted and have the decision to go with it now or, continue to ignore it?
And. Here we are.

They said NOT to share unsolicited idea and that any would be thrown out. Yet. General Discussions on what the user base wants is always a part of forums. Hmmm. What is the difference?
In reading the wants and desires of the user community and myself being a user who started playing MAXIS games with SIMCCITY Classic. I am of the opinion that most NEW gameplay wants are actually OLD gameplay ideas that existed in most of the old MAXIS SIMTitles: SIMCity, Streets of SIMCity, SIMTower, SIMCopter, SIMEarth, SIMTown, SIMCity, Societies and even SPORE.
The same wants from the community keep coming up: Open Worlds, larger city, city building & lot construction, (RCIF) business ownership, multi-player city/region/EARTH/SPORE, working transportation, regional warehouse shipping, taxes, economy, zoning, power, water, food, industry, tourism, resources, waste/garbage, graphs, charts, demographics..., ..., ...
This GRAND UNIFICATION of the SIMSTitles in itself is not new at all and has been a topic in SIMCITY forums since The SIMS first arrived. I dare to say it has been THE DREAM of most old school SIMCITY players to have The SIMS and SIMCITY expand each other since they could drive AND fly in the cities they created and have grand action and adventure in them.
So. I do not think the ideas presented here have been unsolicited since they have been ideas floating out there from the start.
Without the above I am uncertain if one can ever reach OLYMPUS, Rene. And. I'd like to see MAXIS(EA) become KING of the SIM again and rule the world.
