I am BEGGING for good camera controls in The Sims 5. I had to combine both TS3 and TS4's camera controls for a good experience while playing, because I absolutely cannot use TS3's camera, but the absence of rotating the angle up and down was the most mind-boggling decision Maxis ever made. I got The Sims 3 but - and I'm not kidding when I say this - I literally cannot play it SOLELY because of the camera controls. Not being able to have immersive control by clicking and dragging with the left mouse button is frustrating, and needing to use the middle scroll wheel to change the angle puts a major strain on my hand and it's incredibly irritating. Maxis I am begging you to let Simmers customize the camera controls from previous games and combine them, PLEASE!
I wish I knew how to mod better so I could make a TS3 camera mod like TS4 and get my money's worth out of that game, but I don't even know if it's possible to change the camera like that. They really need to implement customizable camera controls for The Sims 5!
Also, definite YES on different heights. They would have to make it height presets, like short, average, and tall, since there's no practical way of fitting the animations with height sliders. With three presets they would just have to fit the animations with the correct heights, which is much easier and doable.
I'm new to this forum but wanted to raise a point/suggestion & have actually started a topic about the same thing.
I really want a customisable neighbourhood. I'm tired of the pre selected lots placed in places I wouldn't choose to have them. A new neighbourhood gets added all the time but each one is just as limiting as the last. I miss The Sims 2 neighbourhoods, I miss the Sims 2 altogether at this point.
