I've bought and downloaded The Sims + The Sims Packs but it will not run the game. It acts like it's going to, but nothing happens.I've restarted, run as admin, repaired the game files, and uninstalled/reinstalled the game.EDIT: I am on Windows 11.EDIT: This is about THE SIMS, not The Sims 2. If you are having issues with The Sims 2, please go to another thread so that EA staff and other people with this issue do not get confused about the solution.

Hey! Hopefully this helps:
Visit www.learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170#latest-microsoft-visual-c-redistributable-version
You'll see a list of 3 links. Install both the x64 and x86 versions in the list.
Once both have been installed, right click on the sims shortcut logo
Select properties
Select compatibility
Select 'Change settings for all users'
Choose 'Run this on compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 3)
Tick the checkbox 'Run this program as an administrator'
Select 'Apply'

It should work after that! I have attached a screenshot if that helps.

I am just going to post this in every forum because I cannot get answers: I bought the Birthday Bundle but it looks like I can't play Sims 1 or 2 without sighing up for EA Play Pro. Someone help, please!
