The Sims 1 Legacy: Launch/Visual/Gameplay Issues

Hello.

I want to report a few bugs I found on The Sims 1 Legacy. I am playing the EA App-Version of the game.

LAUNCH

  1. When I start the game I can't see the EA Logo but I hear it being played. However it doesn't progress to the loading screen until I ALT + TAB out of the game and back in. Even the loading screen is shown as a black screen but I can hear the music of it. After waiting a while it then goes into the neighborhood screen and from then on I can see the whole game again.

VISUAL

  1. The neighborhood screen is not scaled to fullscreen. It is basically a small window within a huge black box. This also counts for thevariation of said screen, when choosing a community lot to travel to.
  2. When travelling to community lots, the picture of the travel screen is not properly scaled horizontally. You can see the game change lots behind the picture.

GAMEPLAY

  1. On my first days with my own sims family I had no issues with this but on subsequent days I noticed that the event camera for the "El Bandito" Danger-Event disappears as quick as it appears.
  2. On the topic of danger events, I sometimes hear the danger tune while my sims are sleeping but nothing is actually happening.
  3. I can't get the game to play in borderless windowed mode. I tried using the -w and -r2560x1440 command through EA App but it doesn't work.

---

These are all I have found so far. It would be most appreciated if you'd look into this for the next patch.

If anyone has tips for workarounding these issues, I would appreciate you telling me.

In case you are wondering. I am playing this game on a 3440x1440p monitor, with the screen resolution scaled down to 2560x1440p in Windows.
