[The Sims 2] Compatibility with Windows 8/10

AS simms 2 is still the best game (version) i continue to play 

If I roll back  to windows 7  install simm2   then upgrade back to windows 10 the games  runs  brilliantly 

It  is running direct X 11  but if i try and put on my new laptop I  get the Direct x 9  cannot be  found  . well its version 12 

I know there is Simms 3  and 4  out  but  sadly you have spoilt the game . Lets have Simms 5 but using simm 2  but windows ten compatible  or release  a patch
Im sure that there would be a market for this patch  and people would pay 

Or is there another work around
