The sims 2 crashing after patch 13

So my sims 2 has been running fairly good the last couple of weeks with minor bugs and fixes that I have been able to handle by myself, but now after patch 13, my sims game is unplayable. At the start it was roughly 1h between the crashes and then 20 minutes between and now I had been playing for merely 5 minutes and it crashes. Also no error message? I just get straight back to the EA launcher. It is currently unplayable for me. 😭
