Sims 2 not able to launch

As of today, my sims 2 legacy edition won't launch through the EA app anymore. It's stuck in an infinite loop when i try to start the game. I've restarted both my PC and the EA app several times with no luck. 

Everything was working fine last night. Not sure if anyone else has encounteres the same issue today or if there is a solution to fix the problem.

    I will mark this temporarily as a solution, but hopefully it should be fixed soon anyway.

    You may be able to launch the game if EA App is offline. For me, it only worked if I closed EA App completely, disconnected from WiFi, re-opened EA App while offline, and then started Sims 2. Please also make sure to delete Groups.cache and Accessory.cache in Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Legacy.

    Just putting EA App in offline mode wouldn't do it for me, I had to close it completely and disconnect first. Once the game is open, you can reconnect to the Internet again.

    mine stays stuck on the launching screen as well as of today :(

    hopefully it'll work again and properly launch the game again soon

    it just surprise launched for me while i was doing something else on my laptop 

    excited to be able to play it again :)

    Mine began doing this as well last night and still will not launch today either. I played yesterday and the day before with no problems.

    I'm having the same issue. It launched fine last night but when I try to launch it today, it's stuck on a loop of "Loading game..." I've tried repairing it, uninstalling and reinstalling both the game and the app, etc. and nothing works.

    Same for me. And when I go on Twitter, no one talks about it since this morning. I hope there are people here on the forum who work at EA because if the problem is not general, we will never have an update that solves this problem.

    Same here. It just keeps 'launching' but nothing actually appears.
