The Sims 2 Glamour Life Expansion

I am trying to download The Sims 2 Glamour Life Stuff expansion pack and it isn't working, it isn't getting passed 5%. The others I have downloaded have done so perfectly, without any issues. I have checked the disc and there are no scratches or any dents at all on there, which I thought it could be and I need some help. I wondered if perhaps you had any tips or you could help me on how to make this work, or I have just wasted my money without it working at all. Please help. Thanks.
