the sims 2 screen resolution

Question

So I've followed multiple different tutorials trying to fix my screen resolution for the Sims 2 but nothing helps. The only resolution is 800x600.
My cursor is also only able to hover over half of the screen once the game comes up and I have to move the pointer around and find the right spot in order to click on things instead of just being able to click on them normally. It's like I see the screen in the middle of my monitor but it's actually moved slightly over to the side, if that makes any sense. I can see the cursor by the way, I'm not having the issue where it's not there at all.

I took a screenshot from a video that I recorded while in game. Sorry if the link doesn't work, hopefully I explained my problem well enough for you to understand it without the picture. If anyone could help I'd really appreciate it 🙂

hello!not sure if you are using origin or the discs but, you can use a program called graphics rule maker to update your settings. google it, and then you can set the recommended texture memory to match the settings and change the graphic information.&nbsp;

@Sunflowergal227&nbsp;, there is also a second step that some players have to do besides the Graphics Rule maker. This is to change the resolution of the screen which is in addition to getting the game to recognize the computer's graphics card. 🙂
