The Sims 2 Super Collection on MacBook with M1 chip

I have The Sims 2 Super Collection by aspyr for MacOS and have been playing it on my old MacBook fine for years. I now have a new MacBook with the new M1 chip. I installed the game via the App Store...

Hi everyone! Aspyr just released a patch today for Sim 2 Super Collection. Not sure if it addresses the M1 chip issue, but I did want to let you all know.

Hi everyone,

I’ve just downloaded the sims 2 super collection now! I was hoping it would be in relative working order by now on the M1 macs considering Apple is most likely gonna be phasing out their intel counterparts ☹️!! I’ve emailed/opened a ticket and everything with aspyr… however I’m gonna try the terminal fixes people have mentioned previously! Does anyone else have any other tips they’ve found??

@Lukasgrice01 , Aspyr has confirmed they are working on the issue, but there is no timeframe when it will be fixed. I'm glad you opened a ticket as the more people that do, perhaps the faster the issue will be fixed.

    @Tremayne4260 The patch works for me! The problem appears to be solved (fingers crossed!) I even put my graphics settings back on High and I was able to load a lot, play, save the game, and re-load the neighborhood. We might be in the clear! The update didn't automatically pop up in my App Store but I manually searched for the app and saw the Update available.
