The Sims 2 ultimate collection origin keeps crashing (Windows 10) FEB 2018

Recently I have been wanting to play Sims 2, I managed to get it working few months back and tried to come back to it however it keeps constantly crashing, sometimes it crashes during the loading scr...

@aprilraven , please keep us updated. Something else I remembered is that you may need to cull your CC (if you play with any) as that can also cause your game to crash. Sometimes some of the file names are too long or have odd symbols in them titles that can cause the game to not recognize the CC or can hinder the game from running properly.

@Tremayne4260 I definitely will. 🙂 I thought of all that CC too, and am starting the process of checking to rule in/out anything bad. Also still working to get the game to recognize my graphics card. But being able to play for that long gives me hope that I'll solve the problem eventually.

    @aprilraven I ended up putting back in The Sims 2 store content and so far my game is still running without crashing. I haven't had a crash since I used the DEP fix. I haven't tried any actual CC despite store content being seen that way, but I'm hoping this gives hope.
