The first part - same problem here. Nothing helped.
Second part - it should be in Origin file, not EA. :-)

Well, it depends, where you installed it, I left it on default, so it is in file named "Origin games". So if you didn't change target of instalation...
But that doesn't mean, that it can't be somewhere else, I'm not genius. :D
However, I still have the same problem like you and I just really hope, that someone will finally bring some solution... - crinrict12 years agoHero+
There should be an EA Games folder where it's in but you might be having this issue: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-2/SOLUTION-No-Neighborhoods-to-pick-from/td-p/3156388/

Well, the problem is, that for me, the game even won't start, no matter, what I do... No loading screen, simply nothing. Ten seconds in task manager and then it's gone like I haven't started it at all. Every other program works just fine, so it won't be malware thing.
And I've got no TM in name anyway... Locale shouldn't matter, I mean, on our home computer (for kids) everything works absolutely fine and we have the same one...

My answer was directed to OP who does not have the folder.
It's a bit hard to help if everyone posts in 10 different threads. All very chaotic here 😉
Could you post this info:
- Click on Start and then type the following into the search prompt at the bottom: perfmon /rel
- Press Enter to proceed.
- A window will open and in there you can click on the red circles with a white X.
- After clicking the X, the info on the bottom will update. Choose the Sims 2 Critical Event one and right click on it and choose "View Technical Details"
- Now on the next window, choose Copy to clipboard at the very bottom and post this into a reply to us here.
