When Dragon Age 2 stopped showing on my account, I contacted support and during them restoring my game, there was something about me having a previous account (from before I could really get my own games, so I don't even think I had anything on it) that I had forgotten about. They said they'd merge the accounts, I think, and that Sims 2 wasn't supported anymore.
This was a while ago so that's not exactly how it went down, as seen with me completely forgetting about the whole 'two accounts' thing, but I think that's about right.
@gade10110 , EA Help Support can check your account to see if you owned it prior to the switch from Origin to the EA App. Did you have another account registered with Origin prior to the switch?
Is it still possible to download The Sims 2 from the EA app, if owned? I have the base game and all expansions on disc (I still have all the license keys) and I'm looking into ways to get it running on Linux, using Lutris. Seems like it'd be easier through the EA app, since Lutris supports it. I never owned The Sims 2 on Origin and there doesn't seem to be a way to purchase it. Is it still possible to activate Sims 2 licenses on the EA app?
@e65d75be7675ecc1 , I'm afraid you're out of luck. The game was retired in 2018 and if you didn't claim the CD keycodes on Origin prior to that time, there is no way to do so now. You'll need to find an external disk drive and try to install the game that way.
