The Sims 4 has less advanced genetics than previous Sims games?

While I am disappointed to hear about the dominant/recessive genes being left out, Sims4 is the only iteration that allows you to create parents from another Sim, plus siblings. I generally have the Sim I created generate parents and from there have the parents generate any and all siblings for my original Sim.
