I am a fan of the idea of an open neighbourhood, over an open world. Or as other games do it, the next section of the map is loaded, and ready for you to enter, as you get close to it, without needing the whole map to be loaded at all times.
That would be great if we could keep expanding the area and build more, but even if not, if done WELL, it could be nice.
