The Sims Castaway Stories windows 10

I know you may think I am still stuck in the stone age, but I love the Sims 2. The Sims 2 are out of all of them my most favorite, I still find them and buy the ones I don't have off eBay or Amazon. But I recently bought The Sims Castaway Stories. I'll put in the code and all that and right when it starts to install, it brings up my web browser but whatever website it tries to bring up doesn't work. Also anytime I try to run the game it won't even launch. I can't even find the file for the game anywhere but under This PC because I still have the disc in my computer. I tried right clicking on the icon under This PC and tried making a shortcut but it said this file must have been moved or deleted. I've been uninstalling it and reinstalling it all day. I have windows 10 and this is a laptop. I have almost all of the Sims 2 games and expansions and they all play almost perfectly fine on this laptop so I don't know why this one won't. If you guys could help it would be much appreciated!
