thx i apparently bought a useless hand me down game.

@luvspsyche , as long as you have the CDs/DVDs of the any version of The Sims or Sims 2 and a disk drive, you have play the game. EA no longer sells the games, but does provide support in getting these games to work with the help of other players like you.
What exactly is the problem you are having with the game?

I bought the The Complete Sims Collection and now it won't let me register the game.
- DarkLady27886 years agoSeasoned Veteran@luvspsyche You don’t need to register the game to get it working if you have all the discs and you have a disc drive and all the SN’s ( serial numbers) for the base game and expansions it will work depending on what operating system your computer is running

They want it to be allowed to be downloaded onto Origin like Sims 3 and 4. If we were allowed to have it get downloaded onto there we wouldn't need the disc's anymore because Origin would have all that information saved (unless you delete your Origin account and lose everything)
