@luvspsyche , as long as you have the CDs/DVDs of the any version of The Sims or Sims 2 and a disk drive, you have play the game. EA no longer sells the games, but does provide support in getting these games to work with the help of other players like you.
What exactly is the problem you are having with the game?

I bought the The Complete Sims Collection and now it won't let me register the game.
- DarkLady27886 years agoSeasoned Veteran@luvspsyche You don’t need to register the game to get it working if you have all the discs and you have a disc drive and all the SN’s ( serial numbers) for the base game and expansions it will work depending on what operating system your computer is running

@luvspsyche , if you are running Windows 10 as your OS (Operating System), there are some additional steps you will need to take to get Sims 2 to install. Search YouTube for Sims 2 installation on Windows 10 and you will find several good step by step videos to help you.
- joaozinho-jpeg5 years agoSeasoned Scout@Tremayne4260 I admire that you are wanting to help, but the point in question is the disregard that EA is giving these games. I have The Sims' physical media and I can't install it, my notebook doesn't have a CDs/DVDs. In that case I would have to download it from a website, torrent to install the game, because buying an external CDs/DVDs is not viable.
There are so many justifications that they pass on to users and no solution to the problem. Unfortunately we know that they are only thinking about profit and failing to listen to the whole community in general. :/
