The Sims Legacy can't close loading pop-up

Question

When I launch the game, I get a popup for The Sims Unleashed and have no way to actually close it. I can't scroll, there's nothing to click. I have changed my resolution prior to launching in the hopes that it would change anything but it doesn't. Has anyone seen this yet or have any suggestions on what to try? I couldn't find a topic when I looked just now, but I also am a little stumped on what to even search.

AnimeBlade&nbsp; The bottom bar should go from darker to lighter blue like a loading bar.&nbsp; Is it not moving at all?&nbsp; What about if you quit and reload?
Please also let me know whether the time stamps on any files inside the subfolders (UserData etc.) here are updating when you load the game:
C:\Users\your username\Saved Games\Electronic Arts\The Sims 25
