The Sims Legacy Will Not Launch

Question

I have a Legion laptop with a NVIDIA RTX 5090 (Latest) graphics card. My friends are all able to play the "new" Sims 1 Legacy and don't have issues. I however cannot even launch it. I have downloaded it and installed it. When I click to play it pops up on my taskbar then disappears and takes me back to the EA Launcher to repeat the cycle. I have paid for your game and expected it to be playable seeing I meet the system requirements for the 25 year old game. Please fix this. Please.

I am also experiencing this issue. I also attempted to use the repair function in case there was an issue during the initial download.&nbsp;

Legacy-Creations babyrn1 &nbsp;Please try reinstalling your 2015 and newer VC++ runtimes. &nbsp;Open Windows Settings &gt; Apps, scroll down to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables, and uninstall everything from 2015 and newer. Don't touch the older versions.
Download the x86 and x64 versions (not the ARM version) of the 2022 runtimes from Microsoft:

Install the runtimes, restart your computer, and try to play.
