The Sims Life Stories
The Sims Life Stories - I'm unable to launch it keeps giving me this error message "In order to launch this game, please log into Origin to verify your ownership, then please try again" I've cleared...
Hi Yes I tried to run as administrator as well as compatibility mode I tried running as Vista and XP and even 98. None of them have worked and now that I have tried unnstalling and reinstalling I'm now getting the popup telling me to log into origins.
@diopter77 wrote:Hello origin has a right click drop down screen. Troubleshoot compatibility click on that and then try either one. I really hope soon that EA will be back for phone calls. Looks like you have done a lot already. Good Luck!
With these older titles, launching the game under another OS via compatibility mode does tend to help, sorry that didn't do the trick.
I see that your video card driver is outdated though and it's important to keep those updated to avoid errors when launching games. Can you double-check to see if you have any pending Windows updates and then also update the driver for your Nvidia card here: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx
Once the latest drivers and updates are installed for your PC, please restart it and launch Origin as administrator when you right-click on the desktop shortcut.
I super wish my update to this was that it worked, I made sure my Windows was up to date, and I downloaded the newest drivers for my graphics card.
Still receiving the same errors even when trying compatibility mode.
I even downloaded the game on my fiance's PC and ran into the same error when trying to play it.
*face desk* can I have my $10 back?
The main error I'm getting now is please login to verify (I am logged in) last night after fiddling I got a pop up asking me to insert a disk (never had one it was always a digital download)
Also in my library, when you click on the game the orange button that should read 'play' is stuck on 'finalizing'
