Hi ! I have just downloaded The Sims 2: Ultimate Collection to my new computer. When I wanted to play the game, there was an error message:

Direct3D returned an error: D3DERR_INVALIDCALL! The application will now terminate.

Then the game exited itself. I have tried to download the Graphics Rules Maker and play the game at windowed mode. Still, I failed to play the game. How can I do to play the game successfully?

I read on reddit if you try to turn off shadows in the game while on a community lot or unowned residential lot and then load into a occupied lot then it worked!&nbsp;
