TS2 Purple Soup Glitch

Question

So, I haven't played the sims 2 in a bit. But I did test it after I updated my graphic card to a RTX card about a year ago-ish. And was able to play it without incident. Today I tried to play the free play world Desiderata, because I don't believe I played it in the past when I purchased it years ago. And I noticed that there is this purple soup thing going on. I did follow some steps online to update the texture memory from 32MB. Which I did. I first updated it to my display memory of 22322 MB. Which worked when I loaded the world, but not when I loaded the household. So, I changed that down to 4096MB and even entered this

# Kiri - manually setting texture memory
seti textureMemory 4096

after seti cpuLevelUnsupported 0

but again it worked fine when I loaded the world, but not when I loaded the household.

Anyone know of a fix that doesn't include installing an executable?

@troshalom&nbsp;Can you please provide your Sims 2 config log? It can be found in&nbsp;Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Logs\ and&nbsp;its name usually follows the format [DESKTOP/LAPTOP name]-config-log.txt. You can run the game and close it from the main menu to get the most up-to-date version of the log file. If it contains something you would like to keep private, such as your computer username, you can edit it out in Notepad.

Please also run a DxDiag and attach it with your reply, alongside the config log.

Just remembered that the last time I played Sims 2 was August 2022 and I was using Origin. I was able to play the game without incident. When I switched over to the EA App, that's when the trouble began.
