@rosemow - great idea to make this thread - @rosemow, sorry for the treatment the link to this thread got on the main Sims 4 forum. We have some very caustic and self-involved members of our community. I know I don't post in here much but what you've done here is greatly appreciated. We are a community. If people want to share what's going on in their lives, as long as it's not against TOS, then it's absolutely fine. Many hugs.
- catmando83011 years agoSeasoned AceI am thankful for good health.
That being said my husband was laid off the end of September, he got a good severance package, but it still has me very nervous. I know he will find something, this isn't the first time we've been through this, but I have had some sleepless nights and he's taken up cigar smoking again (expensive habit).
He is in the IT field at the CIO level, so no telling where we may live next. Since we've been together we've moved 3 times. I haven't worked since 2009, I call myself retired (just sounds better than unemployed). Where we live I would have to drive for over an hour for a job in my field. The only jobs in our town are minimum wage and part time, so he told me my job was taking care of the house and our 6 cats.
Maybe our next move will be back to a more metro area so I can go back to work. - catmando83011 years agoSeasoned Ace@goofygoober25

Hello @catmando830 :) I am sorry to hear that husband was laid off from his job. It is a concerning time for you both as he looks for a new job. I hope that he is able to find work soon. I will keep you both in my thoughts. - rosemow11 years agoHero+

Hello @YazFoxxy :) Work can get quite stressful at times. I hope that you are able to have times at home to just relax and do things that you enjoy doing. - catmando83011 years agoSeasoned Ace@rosemow - you have always been so kind to everyone on the forums, thank you for your kinds words for me :)
- jamfrombama11 years agoNew ScoutSeveral reasons people might want to discuss their problems in a forum: easier access to lots of people, convenience, easier posting difficult feelings as opposed to talking face to face with someone. There are several support groups on line for different organizations. This may not be the way for everyone but it works for a lot of people. Also, having a forum like that here , you already have something in common with everyone: being a simmer. Can make it less difficult when you have something in common
