What do you use to tell stories for your Sims?

A mix of a blog that (almost) nobody reads and "it's all in my head". I do keep a written chronicle for my main save, but it only tracks the major events. "Gavin and Daniel had a great vacation in Strangerville" won't go into the chronicle (but the memories live on in dozens of screenshots).
