Every time I try to visit it, I get a message about being a deceptive site and a phishing attempt? I see no acknowledgement of the issue anywhere.

Yeah, still working on it. ☹️ I'm going to share here what I posted on the other forums as well: We are still working on getting the warning removed, but I'm here to share some information about the issue on Firefox, as while it looks completely different than what you can see in Chrome the background cause is the same - the website being mistakenly flagged as unsafe. In this case, Chrome is showing a warning about some files, while Firefox is blocking the loading of those files: different browsers using the same information and handling things differently.On Firefox, as the blocked files are the ones that tell the browser how to style the content of the website (how things should look) as well as adding some functionality, without that information the forums are showing... the way they are 😕So why am I telling you all this? Because as on Chrome, although not as evident, on Firefox you also have the option to let Google know this was a detection problem and tell Firefox you trust the website and want to visit it anyways.If you want to do this, here is how: Spoiler (Highlight to read) Press Ctrl + Shift + C (yep, same shortcut than for cheats in The Sims! :D ) A new panel will open, by default on the bottom of your browser window. At the top of this new panel, click on the 'Console' tab. Visit the forums (forums.thesims.com). You will see yellow messages appear in the Console. Click on any of the links in the yellow messages. This will open a similar warning to the one on Chrome. Press 'See details' for the warning, and you will see a more detailed explanation on the warning and what it means. If you click 'Ignore the risk', the file will be opened. On the top of the page, you will see another red warning bar - if you press 'This isn't a deceptive site...', you will be able to go back to the forums tab, reload the page and it should look as usual. You can now close the panel at the bottom of the screen (the one we opened in step 1) and the other tabs previous steps opened and use the site normally. Keep in mind this is a temporary workaround only - closing Firefox will make it forget your choice to visit the site, and you may need to repeat these steps. But this can be an option if you want to continue using Firefox while we work on getting things back to normal.Note: please, don't do this with websites you don't know or trust. Yes, false positives occur, but this is a security feature and we don't recommend following the above steps if you are not sure if a website is safe. Please, rest assured that visiting https://forums.thesims.com is safe - we are currently looking into what's causing this warning to show on Chrome browsers and Firefox not showing the page properly. If you have another browser installed, like Microsoft Edge, Opera or Safari, you should be able to access the forums as usual 🙂 -Mai PS. Merged a couple threads together.

Hi, today I recently discovered that my Chrome browser has labeled the official Sims forum site as dangerous and has locked me out of it for my own security:I had recently visited the forum earlier in the day and it was working fine, but then I revisited it again only 30 mins after my last visit and this popped up instead. It has been going on like this ever since the whole day and I read the details on why it was blocked off and it says that my browser has detected phishing scams on the forum. It also appears that a few others have also gotten this error as well when trying to visit. I'd like to know if the forum is ok? Has it been hacked? Will my account info be safe? Is EA aware of this?

I'm having this same issue. I've tried to visit the forums three or four times now and continue to get the dangerous site error/screen. The browser I'm using is Google Chrome. Is it safe to visit the forums? And why is this happening?

Just wanted to let you know that the Sims forum is being marked as dangerous in Chrome. Something about a phishing attack? No idea what's going on, or who needs to fix what, but the natives are getting restless!

So the forums.thesims.com has been working fine for me for a good few years. The other day, I attempted to visit the site and was met with "Deceptive site ahead".
Is anyone else facing this issue? Does anyone know how to fix it?

When I go to https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/ the forum apear quite bad formmated, as when you have a really bad connection and only load quite few of the page

You will have Google information that on the Sims forum are people who provide links to malicious pages. However, you have options after clicking "details" on this info to enter the normal forum page if you are aware of this risk.

@leo3487 and @ScorpiOpal18 I've merged your posts into the master thread for this issue. It's a known problem, but the site is safe. Until this is resolved, you can use Safari or Microsoft Edge, both of which seem to display the site correctly.

Being 04/12/19 at 3:00 (GMT -3) seem than with Chrome the site can be viewed as usual, only having the problem with Firefox

I just checked and I am still getting a deceptive site warning on Chrome and the formatting issue on Firefox. So, nope, the Chrome site cannot be viewed as usual. Though I will note that it seems to sometimes load on normally, just that most of the time it is blocked by Chrome.
