If the project x has any multi-player aspects whatsoever it means I will not ever buy it. The franchise is and only ever will be a single player game. I have ZERO interest in ALL multi-player games especially if they are online multi-player games. Including any multi-player aspects usually means the resources were taken away from making a great single-player core game, at least that has been what has been proven to me.

"Thanks for the discussion! To be clear: I don't want a forced online game either. What I'm dreaming of is an optional integrated access.
For me, the Holy Grail would be a massive technical Engine Upgrade for The Sims 4. Imagine the game with the better, more detailed visuals of Project X (better lighting, textures, and Sims) but keeping all our content.
If EA combines this visual upgrade with an optional co-op mode—where you play solo by default but can invite a friend if you choose to—it would be the best thing ever. It's about modernizing the game we love without losing our progress!"

Again, including any multi-player aspects whatsoever, even just optional means I will never purchase it. Including multi-player means they choose to take resources away from making a great single-player game.
If you look into the history of Sims 4, you would know it was rumored to originally going to be an online game with multi-player functionality. That was scraped when the last Sims City game tanked due to the required online functionality of that game. What we then recieved was Sims 4, where all the Sims act the same due to emotional states. I also believe that was why many animations are constantly reused.
