Would anyone else buy a new game based on the Sims Medieval?

Yes, yes I would. In a New York minute. I wouldn't even need to think on it. In fact I would walk 3 miles up hill in a snow storm.

I have the Sims Medieval, and I really love the game for what it is. But I would like to have a sandbox game as well, where people live and die and have families and work and play just like the regular sims games.

Oh yes, absolutely. I would buy a sandbox life simulator set in the medieval era. A good portion of the CC in my Sims 2 downloads folder is medieval themed. I love historical stuff for my sims.

yes. i still play sims medieval. i wish they would update it more. go back to it and make more expansion packs or even just quests.

Players kept asking for Medieval content for TS3 and instead they did a spin off. I played it a few times and then uninstalled it because it was just not what I wanted. The Sims were great and I loved the landscape...but the game play....just too goal oriented.

I love it and still play it. My one complaint is that you recreate the exact same kingdom with the same quests over and over. Each new ambition should have had a different kingdom layout and introduce new quests for variety. Yes, you can repeat the quests with different heroes and different outcomes but after 3 or 4 kingdoms it gets old and annoying. Also want the ability to build the houses and add rooms. There is something of a challenge to fit what you want in the limited space available but I think it would be more enjoyable if they gave you more freedom to build. I would LOVE an upgrade to this game.

there are some similiar games set in a medieval or renaissance time
since years there is the Guild series <<<, which is a single player
& quite new is Life Is Feudal: Your Own <<<, which is a multiplayer, with two additional side games, an MMO & city building & management game

there are few historic management & strategy games, which don't really care for the creatures in them & there are of course some RPGs set in sort of a fantasy time
but if you're looking for a game with open world, personality of characters living their daily lives, free building options in a 3D set up & all that fully customizable & true to history - there is no game like that, no matter which time you want, The Sims franchise is the closest you get & Minecraft

The thing is, if you had a world that had none of the modern things in it, you wouldn't have to play the Medieval era. Just tear down all the Medieval buildings and make your own; Roman, Greek, Cave-man, or Old West styles would all work, so the possibilities are endless.

Definitely! I mainly do Sims2, and there is hardly a house that is not at least influenced by medieval. Most neighborhoods have a castle, and one is medieval themed. Lots of CC, though. I like Sharla's idea of other styles.
