- OldeSimsFan3 years agoSeasoned AceNo way! Not only does this come across as the crash grab to end all cash grabs, leaving us with nothing in the end, but it violates our freedom as gamers. It should be our choice to play or not as we wish without feeling pressured. Why should we be financially penalized during times we either cannot play for whatever reason(s) or choose not to? This smacks of a power play, the desire to control, not only a financial scheme.
- manicobsessive13 years agoSeasoned AceDefinitley not. I just want to buy, download and play my game. I don't want all that subscription nonsence. As others have said, there can be times where you don't have alot of time to play the game, and then you'd just be wasting money on a subscription that you don't always use, but need to have if you ever want to play.
- with inflation no one can afford monthly payments, there living in a dream world. many ppl cant pay the monthly bills they have now. SO A DEFINATE NO!
- LatinaBunny3 years agoSeasoned AceNo, why? I stopped playing some of my fave MMO games recently because I can’t pay subscriptions all of the time just to play games. I have irl bills and I also pay for other services, etc.
Plus, past Sims games (and other similar simulation games/farming sims) don’t have subscriptions, so why should I pay that just to play The Sims?
I don’t mind paying for DLCs and such for additional stuff and more simulation content, but definitely not paying to just be able to play the actual game… - No, not interested.
- SerraNolwen2 years agoSeasoned AceIt depends a lot on how it's implemented. I've seen rumors of Rene being "free-to-enter". If it is, I'd much rather have a small subscription fee to get access to all the extra content than dealing with micro transactions. However, if they added a subscription fee on top of paying for packs, that would be absolutely excessive to me, especially if they keep the same rate (and quality) of releasing new paid content. I'm a collector and get almost everything, so I figure a subscription-based system would come up to about the same, but I know it would be terrible for players who don't normally get all the content and who still play a little bit every month. While a subscription would give players leverage against bad game maintenance (unsubscribe when the game is broken), I'm also worried about what it would mean in the long run, if they ever decide to leave one sims game for another and stop maintenance on the "old" one (which they hopefully wouldn't need to do or could then make the game free, but I'm not that convinced when it comes to EA and money...)
- Cabelle18632 years agoSeasoned AceNope. I am not interested in any type of subscription service for games. I just want to buy and play my game whenever I feel like it. Sometimes real life sets in and I don't want to feel pressured or frustrated with the subscription nonsense.
- sclevenger082 years agoNew VeteranNope. It just wouldn't make financial sense to me. I don't want an extra bill on top of my other bills to start, but also. I go MONTHS without playing sometimes and paying monthly for something that is just sitting would infuriate me. I would end up cancelling it anyways.
- PurplePlumbob2 years agoNew TravelerMy playstyle is so inconsistent that, for me, a subscription wouldn't be justifiable.
- Lonewolf10442 years agoSeasoned AceNot worth it as I see it and another way to milk the cow and that is my opinion and maybe a way to charge for features that once came to the series before Sims 4 without paying extra for it.
