The Sims 3 base game key still gives you simpoints for the sims3store? (2026)

I received a copy of The Sims 3 as a gift. I've redeemed the key on Steam, EA app, and The Sims 3 Store... but I don't see the “Redeem SimPoints” button.

I contacted EA support and one said I had to do it manually throught the button and other said they no longer give points... Is that true? They haven't made any official announcement about it.
