Hello 🙂 have you resolved the problem yet?
I am having exactly the same problem for two Sims, they contagious to four Sims. It is getting frustrated now.
1. can’t stop what they are doing
2. When I come back, they stopped the task
3. When go to work, it says 2 second left
please let me know if you resolve it, much appreciated! I tried to reinstall, doesn’t work at all.

Guys, my glitches fixed.
1. I contacted online support - they only gave generic answers, such as restart/ re-install / check firemonkey etc. not helpful though.
2. Today, there's a new update, the new update fixed the glitches!! 1 month, finally.
p.s. When I had two Sims having a date at the candle restaurant, upstairs bar - click ' hit on' - this caused the glitch for both of them. Suggest everyone to avoid this action.
