Can't advance to new quest despite finishing old one.

Hi there, I searched the archives and I haven't found a solution to my problem.

I'm playing Sims Freeplay on Bluestacks and I've finished the Seniors Quest and had to let the time run out to finish it because I forgot to build the skating rink and was stuck. It finished, said I missed out on the exercise bike and I assumed it would close out of my queue and give me a new quest. It hasn't. Is there anything I should do? I'm at a loss.

Cheers and thanks in advance.

    Is the quest actually done

    or

did the time limit on the exclusive prize(exercise bikes) just run out?

Even if you miss the time limit exclusive prize, the rest of the quest still needs to be done before you can progress to the Bird feeding quest

What does your task tab say?

Here is the quest line for Seniors from GWG

  • Oh that sucks! I left it so long that building the skating rink would cost $950,000 which would take me FOREVER to save up in order to advance. Booourns. At this point I may as well just start over.

Well, you do have FOREVER to finish the quest, you just missed the time limited prize

Every building will cost more and more and more, it depends on how many buildings/houses/stores/places you already have

The few places I have not yet unlocked cost 2 000 000

Why not take a break from quests and do events, collect money, or whatever you want?

This is not a race to finish first

Take your time - I'm on a 2 year break from quests (I'm not sure I want my sims to die), I'm just doing events until I know if I want them to age and die - I know there are places that I can't unlock without the orbs but there are still plenty to do

A tip is to read the quests before you start, how long it takes, what is the time limited prize (and do you want it) how many sims are needed when etc

The Girl Who Games is fantastic, I do recommend her blog, I linked the quests but she also have the info on events

Starting over would be more frustrating (at least to me)

I have 20 Hobbies that are completed and starting over means I have to level up all of them again

I have 2 professional workplaces leveld up to 100%, I don't want to do that again - it was a grind to get them to 100%

I like the Sims I've made, the event prizes I've earned - all the time limited stuff from events, promoes etc would be gone, possible forever

Starting over would not be for me, I would loose too much that I could not get back and had to toil to get back some of it

but this is your game and you do whatever you want
