Competition center

I entered one of my sims babies in a competition for the "Musical Expression Hobby" and they refused to take her even though she was free. It had said "this sim is busy" or something like that. After I tried a few times the screen reset then told me to "come back in a day for there will be a new competition". I was so upset I was waiting till my sim was free to do this competition, please fix!
