Completing Badges in Nursing Career

One of my sims is currently the Head Nurse at the hospital, level 9/10, about to be done!! However, I've been stuck in this level for OVER A YEAR, because I have not been able to receive my 4th badge, which is to collect 5 X-Rays resources. I've tried so many times but I get bored eventually and end up losing all my progress, that is if I do encounter another npc with the x-ray option.  Usually I get 2 x-rays or maybe even 3 but never the full 5 that I need. I hope someone who knows what to do or EA could kindly respond. Thank you! 🙂

(btw not a newbie in the game, been playing for 11 years, but I am new here!)
