What a rip, we had to earn those and now we can't even chose to keep them or not.  LAME ON LAME

Sorry, I’m not sure if I understand your post?  
We did not earn the colorful crosswalks and flags on the town map.  The developers decide how the town map looks like and when it’s time for a change.
The things we earned are still in the Home Stores and wherever we placed them. 

 I suppose due to how the events first unlock showed them and they appeared only after I crafted and unlocked the first tier that it seemed like it was part of the event. I suppose I must be wrong but whatever, they should just add a toggle on off for things like that. Just a opinion. I figured maybe some people want them gone, maybe some wish to keep them on, thought it would be nice to give the players the choice.
