Error Loading Assets

Hello community. Today, I was trying to open the Sims Freeplay app and when I tried to access my sim town, the game said that an error occurred when trying to load the assets. I tried everything from clearing the game cache and restarting my phone to even changing wifi's, but nothing happened and the troubleshoot screen stayed the same. I can't uninstall and reinstall the app or else all my in game progress will be erased. 

 
What should I do?

    This is what I found on the Piunikaweb website. I didn't want to put a link as I wasn't sure if it was against the forum rules. There was a lot of good info about the error message from the tech support the last time this happened. To much to post here. Sorry. 

    Update 3 (February 11)

    06:50 pm : The Sims support said that they are working on a fix and compensation for players. However, they did not share any ETA for the same.

  • I haven't had a response from FM yet to my query about this issue which I raised last Thursday.   Thanks for your info, it means I will keep waiting before I do anything drastic.  Hopefully they will fix the bug soon.

    Me either.  In the meantime, I seen on Twitter they are posting new events. (???) 🤔🤔🤔

  • Hi,

        I am having trouble with my Sims Freeplay game on both my android phone and Amazon Kindle fire tablet as it's refusing to load on both devices.

    Both of my devices are up to date as I have auto update turned on both devices.

    I keep getting an error message saying that the game won't download and the try again and quit buttons on both devices, but when I press the retry button on both devices nothing happens.

    I've finally had a reply from FM saying they are aware of this problem and are resolving to fix.  They advised to be patient and wait.  Not sure how long we have to do so as it's been nearly a week already. Since I can't open the game to upload my progress (am on level 55) I will wait as long as I can as I don't want to start again.

    Hey everyone,  

    I just seen on Twitter the free Sims account that they have fixed the bug. Their handle is @the ffree Sims on Twitter.  Update is on Google play store. My Amazon kindle did an automatic update.   They also gave the link for compensation reimbursement.  Yeah. 😀😀😀😀

  • Hello all you frustrated Simmers.  Good news, the download bug is fixed and you can get back into your game after a Google Play update -yay.  I have done so and opened my game and thankfully all the content is there except for missing the live time event.  As suggested in the info update, I have put in a request via FM to have my Hacienda Live Event Reward given as I had virtually completed it.  Big thank you to everyone for various inputs keeping us updated and especially to the team at FM for fixing it. Now, let's get back to it!!!! 

  • Did any one actually receive compensation for missed events? Cos I just got aired.

    I'm still waiting for my in-house currency reimbursement. However, I have heard from them. Just waiting for them to give it to me. 

  • Has anyone else gotten their reimbursement?  I received an email saying they gave it to me and to restart my device to see them. Nothing was there. I emailed again but haven't heard anything. Just curious.
