Fashion Design Studio Not in Inventory
I purchased the fashion design studio but it was not in my inventory. I went and purchased it again, but it's still not in my inventory. The simoleons I used are gone and now wasted. There's also a glitch where my home store is showing that there are new items available, but when I click on each option (furniture, house, outdoors), the notification numbers are not going away.

The fashion studio should be in the hobby tab of your home store. As for the new items number. That seems to be a glitch that has been around for awhile. I get it on my phone but not my iPad.
