FREEPLAY: Time of action doesn't match benefit.

Hunger in particular. You can only choose 'leftovers' at the fridge or eat a cooked meal, which all take 10 minutes. And that time wouldn't be so bad if the cooked meals actually filled your Sim up, but they don't. They do about as much good as the leftovers do, on my game at least, and regardless of whether your Sim eats toast or something that took 16 hours to cook. There are other situations that are similar but nothing as bad as the hunger need.

Ex: You can spend 1 minute being romantic or several minutes wohooing or even longer on the makeout couch or a few hours at the movies on a date. They pretty much give you about the same relationship gains.

You can spend a few seconds in the shower or on the computer or napping, most of the time I get about the same benefit for any option. The need only goes up a certain amount regardless.

Also, one 3 star fridge doesn't equal the same gain as another one does for the same amount of time. Fridges aren't the only example of such. But specifically the brown wooden looking fridge and the dark blue vending machine looking one I've noticed don't seem to be equal.

These issues aren't just on one game file either. I play on my phone and my tablet separately and have all these issues on both.

There are work-arounds to make the gameplay faster (even if the issues themselves are not corrected.)

For example, you can purchase multple fridges, sinks, coffee makers, toilets, etc. and get up to ten sims in a house and spend a few minutes doing the least time consuming action for each trait (ie. "Use toilet - 5 seconds" to fill up your Bladder trait) Then you can cycle through all of your sims for all items until they are inspired.

Alternately, you can purchase a Singing Salmon from the Decorations tab and have them sing and dance to the salmon for 30 seconds and have them be inspired across the board in all traits.

Yes, this work-around does not address the underlying issues of time-costs versus payout in some of the actions, but it gets what you need done in the end.  There are a lot of actions that do not always make sense, where a sim can do an activity that takes 2 hours and gives a ton of XP back or another activity that takes 5 hours and gives you less XP.  Sometimes it is because items were released at different times within the game (I think) and other times it is just ....there.  Special activities, like the picnic basket in the Outdoors area, doesn't always give out more XP or Simoleons than other easy-to-access activities, but it makes the gameplay more fun and more diverse.

Enjoy the animations for the longer, bad time-cost-good-reward activities when you have a chance and then use the short-cut methods if you are in a time crunch.

The longer you play the better it gets as ways are introduced to slow down consumtion, for example upgrading temples on the island.  I keep mine all inspired s much as possible as it is quicker to top them up on a daily basis than top them up when everything is empty. Keep going and good luck.
