Glitch in Sandy Suburbs

I been doing the candy suburb missions with no problem until I reached the Arid apartments. Every task that has the sims cleaning up is asking for more than what is in the house. Example, the first one said fix 4 leaks in the roof but only had 3 buckets for the leaks. Now it's saying clean 8 cobwebs but only has 6 cobwebs available, the only way for me to pass is to spend social points.
